How do I recount the unspeakable, the difficult times, the trials? This project was born from an event that disrupted our family life. Starting with my ecosystem and its roots: how do I get through this difficult and upsetting period? I have a "damaged heart," and often contradictory feelings coexist: pain, confusion, and wonder. In this book, I wanted above all to evoke the past, the childhood of my wife Isabelle, 65, my muse.
The narrative pace is sustained, leaving room for color to support the blend of forgetfulness and wonder. A poetry without sensationalism or voyeurism gradually takes hold. The viewer will be able to feel the contradictory emotions, which combine, that one can experience during these times: upheaval, solitude, forgetfulness, erasure, and moments of wonder that are present in the small, precious and fleeting moments of life despite everything. Throughout this narrative journey, we perceive the fragile journey of transformation. Associated with an experimental artistic approach (chemigram), the photographic material—family archives—is sometimes scratched, expressing the artist's emotions through gesture, invention, construction, and the cutting of photographic paper (collage).
How can we view this path where memory flees and/or wonder persists?

How can we recount difficult times and trials? This book was born from often conflicting feelings when pain and wonder meet.
Combining an experimental artistic approach, a chemigram, with family archives, the artist allows us to explore this path where memory flees and wonder endures.
