This project is a work on the awareness of the earth's finitude outside of time, a stroll through the south of France near the Petite Camargue.
Structural changes are affecting our countryside, a realization that didn't arise in the Middle Ages. Farmers are suffering from climatic disruption, railroad lines have been abandoned and the marking of GR paths is confused.
I'm updating Depardon's project, which surveyed France's remote regions with a darker vision. It's a bit of an "end of the world" vision, being close to a tragic vision of photography, made of cycles, abandonment, catastrophes in the Japanese style like Naoya Hatakeyama, man plays with nature, forgetting the tragic consequences of his repeated gestures of destruction.

Approach:
The choice of gray colors reduces the image to thresholds of visibility that reaffirms the optical nature of the medium, giving an "apocalyptic" vision.
